Nature park Ucka Croatia

Nature park Ucka Croatia is situtated on estern side od Istra peninsula, between towns Lovran, Poklon and Plomin, it is 20 km long, wide 8 km and it has overall surface of 160 km2. Nature park Ucka Croatia has numerous karst landforms, so there are 200 pits which nature has made and they attract cavers. Nature park Ucka has been proclaimed in year 1999. for protection of diversity of flora and fauna. About 150 species of birds live in park, of which 70 are nesting here, and about 1200 species of plants. From highest top Vojak, whole Kvarner bay, islands and towns along coast are seen. In Nature Park Ucka Croatia live griffon vulture, eagles, hawks and other birds, out of flora here are growing beeches, dalmatian oaks, aleppo pine trees and numerous other flora species. Park can be reached by car by mountain road near town Lovran, and mountaineers can enjoy walking through nature by 2 mountain trails which leeds to top Vojak. On area of park there are tourist objects, walkways and viewpoints, so excursionists and tourists could enjoy in istrian specialties, view to Kvarner Bay and beautiful nature. Management of Nature Park Ucka Croatia is located in town Lovran.
