Aeroplanes meeting, town of Sinj

Town of Sinj is located near the river of Cetina, in the wide field, 30 km far of the town of Split. Because of its geografic conveniences, the Sports Airport has been built at the location of Glavica with the grass terrain in the area of 38 hectares. Aero Club Sinj has long tradition, and in its sports program has following sections: Glider, parashute, ultra light, motor and modelers. Depending on program, instruction, exercises and kind of certificate, candidates can choose different disciplines: Skydiving, Pilotage of the Aeroplanes and gliders, and paragliding. In its property, they have the modest sky fleet, but it is sufficient for this scope of activities of sports aviation, and the size of grass aeroport. Every year, in the August, they organize the Alkar parashute cup, where the best parashuters of the Republic of Croatia are competing for the awards. Because, the year 2010. was the year of 100 anniversary of aviation in the Republic of Croatia, Aero Club from town of Zagreb, at the airport Lučko, has organized the central celebration with the wide program: Flights of the motor aeroplanes,gliders,parachutes jumps and rich entertaiment.

In the same time, at the airport on the island of Brac, in the August, Modelers aeromeeting has taken place. All visitors,guests and tourists can admire to these light Aeroplanes models, gliding in the blue sky, conducted by the operators from the ground. Every year, the number od guests and tourists is increasing, so they could enjoy the aeral flights and acrobatics. Therefore the organizers have to do their best to make aeromeeting attractive, and in the same time, improve the tourist offer and the development of the town, where these events have taken place.
