Town Sutivan

The town of Sutivan is situated in the north-western part of the island of Brac. Its name has got after the Saint Ivan church from the 6th century. Later the residents have called it Saint Stjepan (Stephen). The town of Sutivan is situated near the coast in the north-western part of the island of Brac. It is 7 miles far off the town of Split.

Later on, in the 11th century, when the the first aristocratic families have started to build here the country houses, the settlement has even widened.
