Town Lecevica

Town Lecevica is situated in spacious valley behind Kozjak mountain and it has become tourist town for famous ethno-eco village in neighbouring hamlet Skopljanci and interesting rural oliympics in hamlet Radosic. Town Lecevica is 14 km far of town Trogir and 20 km far of town Split, so tourists can reach this beautiful town in short while. In its history Town Lecevica was settled even in ancient times when the Illyrian tribes have lived here, after them Romans and Croatian tribes have come in 7 th century. Lecevica was situated on caravan and trade routes which have led from Turkish empire to Venetian republic. Town Lecevica was mentioned for first time in 17 th century when little village has been built, and after that refuges from Bosnia who were running away of turkish army have started to come here. In this area many rulers and armies have changed and about that there are many archaeological and other objects. Lecevica is today modern town which is developing on trade, agriculture, cattle breeding and rural tourism. In neighbouring hamlet Skopljanci there is famous ethno-eco village, and in hamlet Radosic rural olympics are taking place, which attracts numerous excursionists, guests and tourists.
