Mountain roads cars race town Kastel Stari

Within «Saint Dujam 2010 celebration», the sports club Split, has organized the Croatia mountain cars race town by the name 13th reward of Malacka-Saint Dujam 2010. It was the third cars Race in the national championship. Sports cars drivers were competing on demanding mauntain road which leads from the town Kastel Stari to the small Race Town Lecevica. The route is 5200 metres long, with the sharp curves and serpentine roads, so the drivers were required to have the large professional and technical knowledge in the sports cars driving. The start was at the beginning of the mountain road, at the elevation of the 221 metres, so by the everage rise of 4,5%, the mountain road reaches the elevation od the 457 metres at the hill Malacka. For this third national race, 89 competitors have been registered. The program was carring out throuh 2 days, where all traffic on this road was closed. First day was the test and training. On Sunday at 1230 h, the Race by the cars categories, has started.

In the category Formula, the winner was the italian Riccardo Ala, in the category of tourist cars, the winner was Robert Bradaric, and in the category N, the winner was Dino Butorac. This Race Town was very interesting to anyone for the beauty of the hill Kozjak and Malacka, and the view from out there to the panorama of the Kastela field, gulf and the neighbouring islands.
