Town Stanici

Town Stanici is attractive little fishing and tourist town south-east 5 km far of town Omis. For its beautiful position and pebbles beaches Town Stanici has become famous tourist town on Omis riviera. It is situated at bottom of Mosor mountain, so it has favorable climate and protection from northern winds. Town has been mentioned for first time in 16th century, when family Stanic has run away from Turkish army from town Zvecanje and settled down here along coast. Through its history inhabitants of Town Stanici have been dealing with fishing, agriculture and trade. Town has developed rapidly after construction of Adriatic highway in year 1962. Today it is modern town which is mostly dealing with Tourism as main economic activity. For its beautiful nature, beaches and clear sea numerous guests and tourista are visiting town Stanici.
