In the history of town Mimice, it has been mentioned for the first time in the 17. century, when the first immigrants from Bosnia have come, escaping from the turkish army. When they have reached this area, they settled on the slopes of the Mosor mountain, so they could be safe from any attack, from the sea and land. In the history of town Mimice, these first inhabitants were dealing with the agriculture and the cattle breeding. Later, when the danger was off, they have descendet toward the coast and built the modern town of Mimice.
